Outpatient Joint Replacement
Outpatient joint replacement is a revolutionary improvement to the treatment of hip and knee arthritis allowing patients to recover and rehab at home following joint replacement surgery.
Traditional hip and knee replacement surgery would often require patients to spend several nights in the hospital. After discharge many patients who go to a nursing home/rehab facility for 1-2 weeks to recover.
As a part of Dr. Makda’s FAST Track Joint replacement protocol, patients undergoing outpatient joint replacement return home hours after their surgery. Patients then recover in their own homes while participating in post-operative rehabilitation. Dr. Makda and his team will provide comprehensive support you need to complete your at-home recovery.
